Job Summary
Manage and support commercial litigation matters through all phases, from case inception through resolution. Conduct legal research and analysis to provide strategic recommendations while drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other litigation-related documents. Participate in depositions, court appearances, motion practice, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. Collaborate closely with senior attorneys on complex disputes involving breach of contract, business torts, trade secrets, intellectual property, and corporate governance. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel while staying current on legal developments. This role offers significant hands-on litigation experience within a growing Buffalo law firm.
Required Qualifications
- J.D.
- admission to the New York State Bar
- 2-6 years of commercial litigation experience
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience drafting pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents
