Job Summary
Commercial Lines Producer responsible for proactive prospecting and new account acquisition, assessing risk and exposures, preparing tailored insurance plans, and collaborating with Account Executives/Marketing to market proposals and close sales. Responsibilities include identifying prospects, prequalifying insurability, developing targeted client lists, delivering compelling proposals and presentations, completing applications in EPIC, securing down payments, documenting exclusions and binding restrictions, pursuing referrals, maintaining a profitable book of business, conducting annual coverage reviews or renewals, coordinating renewals and remarketing, supporting service staff with documentation, and ensuring transparent client communication. Requires a Property/Casualty, Life, and Health license, college education or equivalent insurance experience, strong written and verbal communication, adaptability to agency workflows, and a commitment to ongoing insurance knowledge; occasional travel and a valid driver's license may be required.
Required Qualifications
- College education or equivalent insurance experience
- Possession of Property, Casualty, Life, and Health Insurance License
- Proficient communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Adaptability to learn and adhere to established agency workflows
- Commitment to continuous learning and updates to maintain knowledge of insurance products and industry trends
- Thorough knowledge of rating procedures, coverages, and industry operations
- Familiarity with insurance rating and underwriting procedures
- Proven ability to generate new business sales, retain existing business, and close sales
- Possession of a valid driver's license and ability to drive to client locations
