Commercial Lines Practice Leader

Job Summary
Lead strategic oversight of product offerings, new business development, and account retention for the Commercial Lines practice. Direct CL Service Leaders, Claims, and Surety teams while driving profitable long-term client relationships and cross-selling synergy with Employee Benefits and Personal Lines. Manage department budget, recruit key Account Executives, and execute the annual operating plan to maximize net operating income. Represent HUB at trade shows and community events to champion the brand, while partnering with regional executives on agency acquisitions and market relationship development.
Required Qualifications
- At least 15 years of commercial lines insurance experience
- Majority of experience must be within an agency, brokerage or consulting firm
- Demonstrated track record as a Managing Producer, Client Service/Account Executive or Team Leader in developing a consultative sales platform for sales and account management
- Hands-on manager with enjoyment of mentoring and direct management of staff
- Desire to continue generating new business
- Ability to institute effective employee development procedures which address training, processes and procedures, E&O avoidance, continuing education, recruiting, hiring and disciplinary actions
- Willingness to partner with other business lines to maximize bottom line to the region
- Proven progressive sales track record in driving new business results
- Consultative, positive and resourceful approach to dealing with prospect, clients and associates
- Strong visibility within the local and national insurance communities
- Highly developed organization and time management skills
- Willingness to travel given operations across the region
- Bachelor's degree (4-year degree)
- Must be willing to travel up to 50%
