Job Summary
The Commercial Lines Account Manager handles a book of insurance business with a high degree of independence, delivering professional, courteous service to clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, and HUB colleagues to achieve account retention goals. Responsibilities include supporting Producers in obtaining, maintaining, and expanding business; managing client service, marketing, and renewal processes; advising on insurance objectives and plan suitability; acting as liaison between clients and carriers to resolve escalated issues; negotiating with underwriters and carriers as needed; troubleshooting claims and billing issues; pursuing new business from existing accounts and assigned leads; pursuing cross-selling opportunities; conducting client meetings; documenting conversations and maintaining data in HUB’s agency management systems; and traveling for company business as required. The role requires 3+ years of relevant insurance/agency experience, strong written and verbal communication, superior customer service, Microsoft Office proficiency, detail-oriented and self-starting capabilities, and the ability to work in a team environment with effective prioritization and delegation. Education/licensing requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent and relevant state insurance licensing; continuing education may be required to maintain licensure.
