Job Summary
Commercial Lines Account Manager provides prompt, accurate and courteous service to clients, producers and company personnel, while supporting in obtaining, maintaining, expanding and servicing commercial accounts. Responsibilities include planning and implementing insurance programs in line with agency guidelines; staying updated on carrier developments and laws; explaining coverage, exclusions and exposures; generating premium allocations with advanced Excel; negotiating rate terms with carriers; providing technical support to Producers; preparing proposals, summaries and applications, obtaining client signatures, and ensuring timely responses; remarketing and renewals in line with agency standards; educating clients on audits; setting priorities and managing workflow for efficient processing; core skills include problem solving, attention to detail, verbal and written communication, timely task completion, teamwork, client focus, dependability, creative thinking, organizational skills and adaptability.
Required Qualifications
- Active General Lines or Property & Casualty License required
- 3-5 years of Commercial Property & Casualty Insurance experience required
- CISR and/or CIC preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Applied Epic experience preferred, but knowledge of similar AMS acceptable
- Ability to lift 25 pounds (physical requirement)
