Job Summary
Commercial Lines Account Manager collaborates with the Producer to obtain, maintain, and service assigned commercial lines accounts. Requires highly organized, independent work with strong customer service to clients and carrier representatives; maintain professional relationships; adhere to Nebraska Department of Insurance standards. Responsibilities include managing client relationships, handling renewals with or without the Producer, coordinating with underwriters and wholesale brokers to secure programs, proposing and binding coverage within authority, analyzing market changes, reviewing contractual language, ensuring timely premium billing, resolving audit disputes, processing endorsements and cancellations, following up on daily tasks, developing relationships with carrier partners, maintaining active licenses and CE requirements, and acting as team lead to meet service guidelines. Qualifications emphasize a high school diploma (or equivalent) with preferred college degree in insurance, Nebraska Property and Casualty license, and relevant designations (AINS, CIC, CPCU, ARM, CRM); minimum 2 years in commercial insurance; strong communication, customer service, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- College degree in insurance or related field preferred
- Must possess a valid Nebraska Property and Casualty License; insurance designations such as AINS, CIC, CPCU, ARM, or CRM strongly desired
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Commercial Insurance
- Proficient computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Agency Management System software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service and team skills; must interact effectively with clients, co-workers and management
- Strong attention to detail and solid organizational skills
- Solid prioritization skills, sense of urgency, and ability to work efficiently under time constraints
- Proven ability to analyze and solve problems
