Job Summary
Manage policy maintenance and service for a book of business comprising construction and real estate clients, focusing on retention, renewal goals, and proactive account rounding. Collaborate with client advisors to review exposures, determine carrier fit, and prepare proposals from risk management and insurance perspectives. Provide day-to-day service by anticipating needs, handling initial claims reports, monitoring carrier activities, and soliciting additional commercial and personal lines insurance. Maintain accurate customer records, keep clients updated on pending industry changes, and seek referrals to generate new business. Coach junior members of the team and lead initiatives while ensuring compliance with agency standards.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills including correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation in correspondence
- Must have a high level of understanding accounting or strong math skills
- High degree of critical thinking; ability to problem solve when the answer is not readily apparent
- Demonstrated attention to detail, producing outcomes with minimal errors
- Ability to adapt well to change in direction and priority in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to demonstrate advanced level proficiency with a variety of technology including MS Office
- Bachelor's degree and/or 5+ years commercial insurance experience or recognized equivalent
- Hold and maintain appropriate state Property and Casualty Insurance License for South Carolina
- Initiate, obtain, and maintain (CISR elite, CIC, or other advanced designations)
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Agency Management Systems; Applied Epic a plus
