Commercial Lines Account Associate, Professional Liability

Job Summary
Manage client renewal packages, prepare certificates and summaries, and process invoices for professional liabilities accounts. Handle aged receivables, issue policies and binders, and maintain the abeyance system while negotiating within EPIC to minimize Daily Sales Outstanding. Communicate with clients and third parties to answer inquiries and fulfill requirements using Microsoft Office and Applied EPIC. Support Account Managers and producers in client meetings. Requires a valid RIBO license and 2+ years of commercial insurance experience. Base salary ranges from $47,000 to $60,000 with variable compensation based on book of business.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RIBO license, or willingness to obtain in short order
- 2+ years of commercial insurance experience
- 2-5 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel (formulas and pivot tables), PowerPoint and Outlook
- Experience with Applied EPIC or similar insurance broker management systems
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in market negotiations on commercial policies is an asset
- Strong technical and systems experience
- Looking to transition into the role of Junior Account Manager within the new 2 years
- Strong sense of accountability and client management skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organization and prioritization skills
- Solid team player who also possesses independence of thought
- Proactive client-focused approach with effective negotiation and follow-up skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to engage with clients and carrier contacts on a regular basis to determine needs and fulfil requirements
