Job Summary
Analyze credit requests, process and approve commercial, agricultural, and consumer loan requests, and make sound credit decisions in a timely manner. Conduct field inspections to verify collateral adequacy and evaluate the management and condition of operations. Develop new business by expanding existing relationships, cross-selling bank products, and representing the bank in community activities. Collect past due accounts, manage OREO, and properly structure and price loan relationships while adhering to bank policies. Train junior lenders and loan processors jointly with other officers. Requires a bachelor's degree, 3-5 years of lending experience, and strong knowledge of credit analysis and loan programs.
Required Qualifications
- Strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, agricultural business or equivalent education/work experience
- A minimum of 3-5 years previous commercial or agricultural lending experience
- Strong knowledge of analyzing credit requests, collateral analysis, proper structuring and pricing of loans and collections
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel and Access
- Proven ability for business development
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Demonstrated ability to provide information in concise verbal and written formats
- Ability to analyze credit requests and make sound credit decisions in a timely manner
- Detailed knowledge of commercial, ag, consumer, residential (secondary market), student loan and credit card loan programs
- Ability to properly structure and price loan relationships
- Jointly responsible with other officers to train all junior lenders and loan processors
- Perform field and/or business inspections of existing and potential loan customers to verify the adequacy of collateral securing the credit, as well as to evaluate the general management and condition of the operation
