Commercial Lender (Full Time) - New Braunfels

Job Summary
Solicit commercial clients and aggressively obtain quality new business through calls, referrals, and cross-selling efforts. Generate a wide variety of commercial and real estate loans, typically in the $1 million to $10 million range, while managing credit processes and loan structuring. Obtain and maintain COI's and attend networking events in the assigned geographic area to build successful long-term relationships. Contribute to deposit growth by promoting additional banking products and anticipating future client needs. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in banking, finance or another related field
- Formally credit trained and/or underwriting knowledge and experience
- Minimum of seven years direct lending or credit support related experience with focus on business relationships
- Familiarity of the sales, loan processing and closing processes
- Extensive knowledge of Commercial Banking products and services including working knowledge of C & I as well as Owner-Occupied and Investment Commercial Real Estate loans
- Ability to expand loans, client relationships and cross sell bank products
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven track record of business development
- Ability to apply logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data establish facts and draw conclusions
- Able to interpret a variety of technical instructions and can deal with multiple variables
- Ability to compute discount, interest, profit, and loss; commission markup and selling price; and ratio, proportion, and percentage
- Able to perform very simple algebra
- Ability to read periodicals, journals, manuals, dictionaries, thesauruses, and encyclopedias
- Ability to prepare business letters, proposals, summaries, and reports using prescribed format and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style
- Ability to conduct training, communicates at panel discussions, and make professional presentations
- Monday - Friday: 8:00AM - 5:00PM and as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in banking, finance or another related field is preferred
- Formally credit trained and /or underwriting knowledge and experience is preferred
