Commercial Lender (Full Time) - Canyon Lake

Job Summary
Solicit commercial clients and aggressively obtain new business through calls, referrals, and cross-selling efforts to grow and retain profitable relationships. Generate a wide variety of commercial and real estate loans, typically in the $1 million to $10 million range, while managing credit processes and loan structuring. Obtain and maintain COI's, attend networking events, and contribute to deposit growth by promoting additional banking products. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM as needed. This role focuses on delivering value-added solutions to help clients reach their goals and maximize revenue over the life of the relationship.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in banking, finance or another related field
- Formally credit trained and/or underwriting knowledge and experience
- Minimum of seven years direct lending or credit support related experience with focus on business relationships
- Familiarity of the sales, loan processing and closing processes
- Extensive knowledge of Commercial Banking products and services including working knowledge of C & I as well as Owner-Occupied and Investment Commercial Real Estate loans
- Ability to expand loans, client relationships and cross sell bank products
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven track record of business development
- Ability to apply logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data establish facts and draw conclusions
- Able to interpret a variety of technical instructions and can deal with multiple variables
- Ability to compute discount, interest, profit, and loss; commission markup and selling price; and ratio, proportion, and percentage
- Able to perform very simple algebra
- Ability to read periodicals, journals, manuals, dictionaries, thesauruses, and encyclopedias
- Ability to prepare business letters, proposals, summaries, and reports using prescribed format and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style
- Ability to conduct training, communicates at panel discussions, and make professional presentations
- Monday - Friday: 8:00AM - 5:00PM and as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in banking, finance or another related field is preferred
