Job Summary

Commercial Kitchen Technician to support Kitchen operations at Circuit of The Americas (COTA) by setting up, breaking down, maintaining, and repairing kitchen equipment across events. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance and basic repairs on electric and propane appliances, troubleshooting equipment such as warmers, grills, fryers, refrigeration units, and small appliances, performing minor electrical and plumbing tasks, inspecting equipment for safety and function, documenting maintenance activities, and coordinating with culinary, operations, and event teams to meet equipment needs during scheduled events. Must thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, work long hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, and maintain safety and cleanliness of tools, spaces, and storage. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, as is the ability to diagnose and perform repairs independently and to manage multiple tasks. Safety, organization, and adaptability under event-driven pressure are emphasized across core values and competencies.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous maintenance or technician experience preferred, especially in a kitchen or food-service environment
  • Knowledge of general kitchen equipment operation; repair experience a plus
  • Basic electrical and plumbing understanding required
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform minor repairs independently
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Ability to work long hours during large events, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repairing equipment
  • Basic electrical and plumbing knowledge
  • Safety awareness and problem-solving
  • Basic carpentry skills
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift (certification a plus)
  • CDL a plus but not required
  • Organization and time management
