Job Summary
Lead commercial hydronics and heat pump water heater installations, including retrofitting legacy gas boilers with modern HPWH plant systems for hotels, schools, and multi-family residences. Execute precise brazing, soldering, and ProPress connections on copper piping up to 2", while safely decommissioning old systems and rerouting piping to maximize efficiency. Serve as the technical point of contact on site, delivering proactive updates to facility managers and project supervisors to minimize downtime. Perform system flushing, hydrostatic pressure testing, balancing, and initial commissioning of domestic hot water and hydronic loops, ensuring all work adheres to local codes, OSHA guidelines, and manufacturer specifications. Requires a valid Journeyman Plumber License and 4+ years of commercial plumbing experience.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in commercial plumbing and/or commercial hydronics
- Valid Journeyman Plumber License (or equivalent state credentials)
- Proven proficiency in brazing and ProPress fitting techniques on copper piping up to 2"
- Strong working knowledge of hydronic heating, boiler loops, pumps, expansion tanks, and commercial water heating distribution
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills—able to interface confidently with commercial clients, engineers, and internal dispatch teams under deadline-driven conditions
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
