Job Summary
Comply with hospital and federal policies and guidelines in the billing and collection of claims. Review payor contracts to ensure correct contractual adjustments are posted as per individual payor agreement. Perform various clerical billing and follow-up functions, including daily diagnostic imaging coverage where applicable. Requires a high school diploma, CPT-4, HCPCS, DRG, and ICD-9 coding knowledge, plus minimum two years of Medicare/MediCal billing experience in a hospital setting.
