Commercial Insurance Marketing Manager

Job Summary
Market new and renewal commercial insurance accounts to multiple carriers, evaluating client exposures and needs to determine appropriate coverage solutions. Solicit, review, compare, and negotiate quotes from carriers to identify the best overall program, then prepare proposal comparisons and coverage summaries for producers. Develop and maintain strong relationships with carrier underwriters and marketing representatives while staying informed of underwriting guidelines and market conditions. Collaborate with account managers to ensure accurate submissions and assist with remarketing strategies to maximize retention and profitability. Maintain accurate documentation of all marketing activity within the agency management system.
Required Qualifications
- Active Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance License
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience working for an independent insurance agency
- Demonstrated experience marketing commercial insurance with multiple insurance carriers
- Thorough knowledge of commercial property and casualty insurance coverages, underwriting practices, and carrier appetites
- Strong negotiation skills and experience working directly with carrier underwriters
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with agency management systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, Risk Management, Finance, or a related field
- Professional insurance designations such as CIC, CISR, CPCU, CRM, or ARM
- Experience with comparative rating systems and carrier marketing platforms
