Job Summary
Execute planned preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, pumps, motors, and facility mechanical equipment in commercial and industrial environments. Inspect air handlers, boilers, chillers, and rooftop units while performing corrective repairs on identified issues. Maintain service logs, digital work orders, and asset management records to document system performance and failures. Collaborate with building engineers and vendors to resolve complex issues and ensure work adheres to safety codes and environmental regulations. Participate in after-hours emergency maintenance response rotation to minimize downtime in production-critical areas. This role supports Reliant Mechanical's full-service contracting firm, which operates across industrial, commercial, and residential segments with over 100 associates in Ohio.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 5+ years of commercial or industrial maintenance experience
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and schedules
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems, building automation, and mechanical/electrical troubleshooting
- EPA Section 608 Certification
- Universal EPA Section 608 Certification
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening
- Ability to pass a drug screening
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Ability to work in elevated areas
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
- Ability to participate in after-hours emergency maintenance response rotation
Desired Qualifications
- Technical training in HVAC or mechanical systems
- Experience in manufacturing, hospitals, or data center environments
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
- OSHA 10/30 certification
- Equivalent safety training
