Job Summary
Inspect, operate, and test HVAC machinery to diagnose malfunctions, clean lubricate shafts and bearings, and replace filters. Diagnose mechanical problems by reading blueprints and repair manuals, then correct them using hand and power tools. Fulfill work order requests for boilers and chillers, including determining when to call subcontractors for major repairs. Maintain customer facilities and equipment to ensure excellent operations and safety performance. Requires HVAC and CFC certification, with knowledge of controls beneficial. Full-time, 1st shift, $50/hr.
Required Qualifications
- Looking for experience with boilers and chillers
- Boilers in the 1,000,000 BTU range
- Chillers in the 100 Ton range
- HVAC Certification
- CFC Certification
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Ability to perform light maintenance duties such as inspecting drivers, motors, belts, check fluids levels, replace filters and follow inspection list
- Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, to precision measuring instructions, electrical and electronic testing devices
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them by reading blueprints, repair manuals and parts catalogs as necessary
- Inspect, operate and test machinery and equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions
- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of machinery
- Knowledge of relevant equipment, safety policies, procedures and strategies for the protection of people data, property and institutions
- Fulfilling work order requests and ability to determine and make recommendations as to when subcontractors need to be called to perform major maintenance, repairs and upgrades
- 1st Shift availability
