Job Summary
Support sales, customers, and contractors with technical expertise across the full project lifecycle, focusing on equipment design support, order accuracy, and installation verification. Review project-specific control requirements, verify proper equipment installation, and oversee piping walk-throughs for split systems. Coordinate start-ups by preparing configuration sheets, reviewing post-startup files, and supporting commissioning activities. Provide ongoing technical support for major, complex, or recurring system issues related to LG equipment and controls, attending project meetings as a technical representative. This role serves as a high-level technical resource for critical issues rather than routine start-ups.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field, or equivalent HVAC industry experience
- 5+ years of experience in commercial HVAC equipment application, technical support, or system design
- Strong working knowledge of LG equipment, HVAC systems, and applied mechanical solutions
- Experience with equipment selection, design review, and order accuracy for commercial projects
- Understanding of HVAC controls, commissioning processes, and system integration
- Ability to review project specifications, submittals, and controls requirements for compliance
- Experience verifying equipment installation and supporting field walk-throughs
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex or recurring HVAC and controls issues post-start-up
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with sales teams, contractors, service personnel, and customers
- Willingness to travel to job sites, customer locations, and project meetings as required
- Proficient in standard office software and technical applications related to HVAC design and documentation
- Ability to walk job sites, climb stairs and ladders, and access rooftop or confined mechanical spaces as needed
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally
