Job Summary
Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and temporary climate control equipment supporting data center operations throughout Northeast Virginia. Perform preventive maintenance on air conditioning, heating, ventilation, dehumidification, and power equipment while diagnosing mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and control system issues. Install, start up, and commission rental equipment at customer sites, providing operational training and documenting all service work using electronic systems. Read electrical schematics and blueprints, strictly adhering to data center safety protocols and travel requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, refrigeration, and mechanical systems
- Working knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment, chillers, package units, air handlers, and temporary climate control systems
- Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory and work overtime when needed
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds multiple times throughout the workday
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
- Must be able to frequently bend, reach, push, pull, and climb as needed
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening that tests for THC and other drugs
- Must pass a full background check
Desired Qualifications
- Experience servicing mission-critical facilities or data centers
- EPA Universal Certification
