Commercial HVAC Service Technician

Job Summary
Perform electrical and mechanical inspections and preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment to ensure peak performance. Adjust belts, oil, grease, and clean systems while interpreting engineering drawings for layout and operation. Advise owners on corrective actions and suggest beneficial additional services, representing the company positively to trades, contractors, and customers. Submit paperwork to Service Coordinators and collaborate in a team environment to share information and workload. Work independently across multiple customer sites daily, balancing diverse duties with minimal supervision. Maintain safety standards while climbing, crawling, and lifting up to 75 pounds in diverse conditions including extreme weather.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have valid driver's license with good driving record
- Strong VRF Technology - (Specifically LG, Mitsubishi, Etc.)
- Must have current HVAC certification and OSHA 10 Training
- 5+ years' experience working as a Service Technician in a commercial environment
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software
- working proficiency with hand held computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad)

- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Mental stamina for problem solving and prioritizing multiple tasks
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
