Job Summary
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment, including air handling units, chillers, and heat recovery systems. Perform startups, inspections, warranty work, and preventative maintenance while troubleshooting electrical, refrigeration, airflow, and controls-related issues. Program and configure unit controllers and VFDs, read schematics, and work with BAS systems and digital controls interfaces. Communicate professionally with customers and team members, completing service documentation via email, PDFs, and Teams. Participate in occasional overtime and travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Commercial HVAC service experience
- EPA Certification
- Strong electrical and refrigeration troubleshooting skills
- Experience working with complex HVAC systems
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Comfortable using computers and mobile technology
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable carrying tools and materials up/down ladders
- Comfortable working on rooftops in extreme heat and weather conditions
- Comfortable with occasional 10+ hour days
- Comfortable working 5+ days/week during peak workload periods
- Comfortable with occasional travel or out-of-town work
- Comfortable lifting 50+ lbs regularly
- Comfortable with extended rooftop work in heat and weather
- Comfortable with long workdays during busy periods
- Comfortable with daily ladder use and physical field work
- Comfortable with computer-based documentation and communication
- Comfortable with learning new HVAC software and controls tools
