Job Summary
Commercial HVAC Service Technician responsible for installing, servicing, and starting up a wide range of HVAC systems, including VRF, rooftop, and packaged units. Diagnose and resolve issues, perform preventive maintenance, optimize system performance for energy efficiency, and maintain excellent customer relationships. responsibilities include documentation, on-call rotation, safety/compliance per OSHA standards, mentorship of junior technicians, and active participation in ongoing technical training.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years minimum commercial HVAC service experience with systems such as VRF, rooftop units, and packaged equipment
- EPA Universal Certification required; OEM-specific training or certifications preferred
- Skilled in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and interpreting service manuals and schematics
- Strong communication and customer service skills with a professional, team-focused mindset
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; able to pass a background check and drug screening
- Physically capable of lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, and working in various field conditions, including rooftops and tight spaces
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service coverage
