Commercial HVAC/Refrigeration Technician

Job Summary
Perform installations, repairs, and maintenance of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems, including split systems, package units, chillers, and refrigeration equipment. Execute routine preventative maintenance tasks such as cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, and inspecting electrical components. Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions, document all service work, and communicate clearly with clients. Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service and maintain a clean work vehicle. Requires EPA Section 608 Universal Certification, valid driver's license, and five years of industry experience. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a vocational HVAC program or apprenticeship
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems and principles
- Familiarity with common hand and power tools used in HVAC work
- Ability to read and interpret basic schematics and wiring diagrams
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions and confined spaces
- EPA Section 608 Universal Certification
- Willingness to learn and grow within the HVAC industry
- 5 years of industry related experience
