Job Summary
Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician needed to install, maintain, and repair commercial refrigeration systems (walk-ins, reach-ins, ice machines, parallel rack systems). Preferred experience with CO2 refrigeration rack systems including transcritical and subcritical operation. Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, handling refrigerants per EPA regulations, reading schematics, and maintaining service records. Must have EPA Universal Certification, a valid driver’s license, be able to supply own hand tools, and communicate effectively with customers and team members. Willingness to respond to emergency service calls; schedule typically Monday–Friday with possible overtime and on-call rotation. Required Qualifications
- EPA Universal Certification required
- Basic knowledge of commercial HVAC/refrigeration systems
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Technicians are expected to supply their own standard hand tools
- Ability to complete necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
- Strong communication skills with clients, team members, and management
- Able to work under pressure in fast-paced or high-stress environments
- Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team
- Proven experience with installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration systems
- Knowledge of refrigerants handling in compliance with EPA regulations
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals
- Capacity to respond to emergency service calls as needed
- Experience with compressors, motors, fans, and other key components
