Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician

Job Summary
Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems, including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and refrigeration equipment. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and handle refrigerant leaks in compliance with EPA regulations. Read blueprints, interpret schematics, and service walk-in coolers, ice machines, and building automation systems. Communicate repair options to customers, complete service tickets, and maintain safe, organized job sites following OSHA protocols. This role supports mission-critical equipment across Louisville, Nashville, and Kentucky. A journeyman or master license, EPA certification, and 3+ years of experience are required.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of commercial HVAC/R service experience
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in confined spaces, rooftops, and varying weather conditions
- Journeyman or Master HVAC license [state or local, where applicable]
- Experience with chillers, boilers, and/or BAS controls
- Electrical troubleshooting beyond basic component replacement
- Factory training or OEM certifications
Desired Qualifications
- EPA Section 608 Certification [universal preferred]
- Experience with BuildOps, Housecall Pro, or Service Titan [a plus]
