Job Summary
Control and distribute quality documentation for assigned commercial piping projects while monitoring on-site activities to ensure compliance with ASME, ASTM, and local code requirements. Coordinate with project stakeholders, the Project Manager, and Site Superintendent to oversee disposition of nonconformance reports and resolve customer complaints regarding installation quality. Prepare inspection and test plans, maintain project-specific system documentation, and perform hands-on tasks to verify installation standards. Monitor statistical quality data, address audit findings, and archive all documentation upon project completion. This role requires 8+ years of field experience, proficiency in interpreting blueprints, and the ability to lift materials up to 50 pounds frequently.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of field experience in commercial piping systems
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and piping specifications
- Strong problem-solving skills, especially with layout and installation concepts
- Proficiency in basic math and ability to perform relevant calculations
- Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis
- Ability to perform tasks involving physical labor, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying materials, tools, or equipment
- Manual material handling performed in accordance with OSHA safety standards and company policies
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Procore, ACC or similar construction management software
- Proficiency in using iPads or tablets for field reporting and documentation
