Job Summary
Install HVAC systems and related components for commercial construction, including cutting and threading pipe, installing sheet metal ducts, and setting equipment. Layout and connect electrical wiring according to diagrams while ensuring customer satisfaction and workplace safety. Perform duties under close supervision in a team-oriented environment, navigating construction sites and operating under severe temperature conditions. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and relocation to Lexington, KY.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman HVAC
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
- 3-5 years of practical working experience in the HVAC industry
- Must have the ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, specifications, and drawings
- Possession of valid driver's license with good record of driving and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong ability to write and read in English language
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 100lbs safely
- Ability to climb, stoop, balance, crouch, crawl, or/and kneel continually
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas of construction sites
- Ability to Relocate: Lexington, KY 40506: Relocate before starting work (Required)
Desired Qualifications
- EPA certification a plus
- prefer commercial HVAC
- Past experience working on construction projects desired
- Set/mount equipment, rough-in and trim duct systems, experience installing duct systems is preferred
- Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
- Must have an honest and dependable personality
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Strong ability to distinguish between various HVAC equipment
- Self motivated individual with strong ability to follow instructions and work alone, as well as work effectively within a team
- Ability to display professional company image
- Strong ability to operate under severe temperature condition for long periods of time
