Job Summary
Install HVAC heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment following manufacturer specifications and company requirements. Measure and mark dimensions on ground, deck, and ductwork, then drill holes, install ducts with frameworks, and fabricate or alter duct/pipe at construction sites. Fasten seams using welding, bolting, riveting, soldering, or screwing while maneuvering heavy materials like air handlers and condensing units. Operate scissor lifts up to 32' and knuckle boom lifts up to 80', climbing ladders up to 28' as needed. Demolish existing HVAC equipment and ductwork, always adhering to safety standards and wearing proper PPE. Work around large construction equipment safely, including cranes and graders.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to climb, stoop, balance, crouch, crawl, or/and kneel continually
- Ability to work with multiple styles of power tools IE. Sawzall, hammer drill, grinders.
- Be reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Takes direction and constructive criticism
- Interact with team and ask questions
- Initiative to learn
- Must be able to climb ladders up to 16' A-frame or 28' extension ladder
- Must be able to operate or work off scissor lifts to 32'
- Must be able to operate or work off Knuckle boom lifts to 80'
- Must be able to maneuver heavy material and products (IE air handlers, Condensing Units, heaters, ductwork etc....)
- Must be able to always wear proper PPE and comply with all safety standards
- Must be able to work around large construction equipment safely IE. Cranes, sky tracks, graders, and trucks
- Must be able to work in exposed environments including roof and groundwork, unconditioned and conditioned buildings
