Job Summary
Supervise and train maintenance crews on landscape maintenance services while performing mowing, raking, digging, and weeding duties. Load and unload heavy equipment and planting materials, schedule daily workloads, and coordinate job materials. Operate mowers, tillers, edgers, and sprayers safely, and maintain irrigation controllers. Prepare timesheets, attend safety meetings, and manage client and contractor communications. Drive company vehicles with a valid NC driver's license and maintain a good driving record. Work outside in all weather conditions while lifting up to 50 pounds and adhering to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basis
- Ability to bend and stoop on a continual basis
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
- Ability to work around bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns and other environmental risks
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Must wear sturdy shoes, company uniforms, and assigned PPE
- Must present yourself in a professional, polite manner
- Must practice safety with chemicals and equipment
- Must wear company-provided eye and ear protection as required
- Must have valid NC Driver's license and maintain a good driving record (CDL preferred)
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must be willing to obtain NC Pesticide applicators license
- Must have good communication skills and ability to motivate others
- Must comply with Bland's policies and procedures
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
