Job Summary
Fabricate and install commercial glass systems, including cutting, drilling, and handling mirror, glass, and metal. Work independently on framing members for curtainwall and storefronts while solving problems and maintaining squatting and standing positions for extended periods. Lift and carry 75 pounds, climb extension ladders, and work on and off stairs. Work Monday through Friday from 6 am to 4 pm, with hours subject to business needs requiring flexibility. Trainees are hired with on-the-job training provided.
Required Qualifications
- Must have the knowledge and ability to fabricate and/or install most commercial glass systems
- Must be able to pass a drug test and criminal background screening
- Proficient at cutting and drilling mirror, glass, and metal
- Excellent knowledge and recognition of framing members, both curtainwall and storefront
- Proficient in the use of the products, tools, and procedures utilized in the Glazing trade
- Can safely handle glass
- Demonstrate the ability to work on and solve problems independently the majority of the time
- Capable of speaking, reading and writing in English
- Possess good communication, organizational and leadership skills
- Able to lift and carry 75 pounds, including up a flight of stairs
- Able to maintain a squatting position for extended periods
- Able to stand and walk at minimum 8 hours a day
- Able to climb an extension ladder
- Hours are subject to business needs, must be flexible

- High School diploma/GED preferred
