Job Summary
Install glass in storefronts, curtain walls, windows, doors, skylights, mirrors, shower enclosures, and glass railing systems while measuring, cutting, grinding, and polishing glass to precise specifications. Secure metal, wood, and vinyl framing systems and apply sealants, gaskets, and weatherproofing materials to ensure watertight and airtight installations. Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications to safely handle and install large glass panels and glazing systems. Maintain quality workmanship while meeting project schedules. This first shift opportunity in Van Nuys, CA, offers experienced glaziers up to $35/hour with benefits including vacation pay, health insurance, and a 401(k).
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of commercial glazing experience
- Strong experience with storefronts, curtain walls, and commercial glass systems
- Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and shop drawings
- Knowledge of glazing tools, sealants, and installation methods
