Job Summary
Commercial General Manager, Americas responsible for defining and executing Abcam’s commercial strategy and operating plan across the Americas, leading multi-functional teams to achieve aggressive growth targets, managing annual budgets, driving market share, and ensuring customer-focused execution. The role requires building and developing a high-performing team, establishing career paths and succession planning, defining regional commercial strategy, monitoring KPIs, and collaborating with other regions and Danaher companies to accelerate growth. Travel up to 50% nationally is required; the position is remote with East Coast-based location preferences. Salary $240K-$275K plus bonus and comprehensive benefits. Preferred experience includes matrixed leadership, talent development, DE&I, and deep knowledge of the life sciences sector.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years’ progressive experience in commercial, life science roles
- No less than 5 years in a management role with sizable, ideally multi-national, companies
- Proven ability to succeed at a strategic, tactical, and operational level
- Strong understanding of the life sciences industry, products and services
- Bachelor’s or higher degree, STEM or ideally in a life sciences subject
