Job Summary
Take incoming calls and chat requests from field technicians stuck on commercial door jobs, walking them through real-time diagnosis and repair using live video. Draw on deep hands-on experience to identify root causes for electrical, mechanical, or structural issues with rollups, levelers, and dock equipment. Document recurring problems to build internal troubleshooting resources and mentor less experienced techs without leaving the office. This role leverages your background in installing and servicing overhead doors, allowing you to solve hard problems from a desk in Fort Worth. You'll coach technicians through complex scenarios via phone or video, translating field expertise into clear guidance.
Required Qualifications
- Years of hands-on experience installing and servicing commercial overhead doors, rollups, dock levelers, and dock equipment — this is non-negotiable; we need someone who has done the work
- The ability to visualize a problem from a description or a video feed and talk someone through a fix step by step
- Patience and clear communication — you'll be coaching people who are standing in front of the problem while you're not
- Comfort with phones, video calls, and basic tech tools (training provided)
