Job Summary
Commercial/Fixtures Project Manager role supporting and managing customer projects across the Chicago and Northern Illinois region from kickoff through completion. You’ll take ownership of commercial fixture projects, serve as the primary point of contact for customers, review orders and documentation, coordinate with sales and vendors, prepare lead time expectations, manage submittals and approvals, create and maintain project schedules, coordinate material procurement and deliveries, monitor progress, and provide regular status updates to customers and internal partners. Occasional job site or customer office visits may be required based on project needs; no regular travel required. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, proactive communication, and delivering best-in-class service while ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Required Qualifications
- 0 to 3 years of project management, project coordination, construction, or related experience
- Ability to learn project management tools, sales systems, and technical product information
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with strong attention to prioritization
- Customer focused mindset and ability to build positive, professional relationships
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast paced environment
- Strong proficiency with computers and software programs, including all Microsoft Office applications
- Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable handling multiple urgent requests
- Self starter with strong problem solving skills and the ability to work independently
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate ideas clearly in both technical and user friendly terms
