Job Summary
Prepare accurate proposals for new construction projects and follow up with customers to answer questions. Update and utilize WAFS ERP to maintain customer profiles, sites, opportunities, quotes, and reports while tracking and managing opportunities from start to finish. Meet or exceed company sales quotas and profit margin goals by building strong, multi-level customer relationships and conducting presentations to generate additional business. Collaborate with General Counsel on contract reviews to minimize risk and provide management with regular updates on market conditions and competitive challenges. Submit all required reports accurately and on time while performing other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Should have a working knowledge of Fire Sprinkler Systems including NFPA 13D, 13R, 13, 14, and 20
- 3 - 5 years of fire sprinkler experience is preferred
- Outstanding communication skills with a professional presence to engage and impress customers and prospects
- Strong time management, organizational, and detail-oriented skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Proven networking ability and business development skills to generate new opportunities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to think quickly, adapt, and build strong connections with diverse customers
- Collaborative team player who performs well under pressure, meets deadlines, and consistently achieves or exceeds sales and profit goals
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficient in ERP systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; PowerPoint experience preferred
- Strong follow-up skills and commitment to customer service excellence
- Valid driver's license meeting company driving eligibility standards
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and pre-employment background check screening, including 10 years of employment verification is required to be hired at Wayne Automatic
