Job Summary
Commercial Finance Manager for Hydropulse, Berlin (onsite). Responsible for economic analyses, financial modelling, and pricing/margin calculations to support strategic decisions. Leads finance topics for tenders and commercial bids; develops robust financial business models including financing, risk assessment, pricing, and margins. Supports cash management and working capital; challenges and guides Sales, Business Development, Product Management, and Project Management when preparing high-quality cost calculations for executive sign-off. Collaborates with Finance to ensure accurate revenue recognition and adherence to accounting standards; oversees cash collection for commercial projects tied to milestones. Leads project budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans, ensuring internal controls and financial policies are followed. Produces complex financial analyses and actionable insights for executive leadership; monitors post-delivery product performance against plan and identifies variances, risks, and corrective actions. Tracks industry trends and regulatory changes to continuously improve commercial frameworks and tools.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance or Industrial Engineering
- 5-10 years of professional experience in finance (Commercial Finance, Controlling or Accounting)
- Knowledge of UK-GAAP and German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen
- Ability to collaborate across teams and solve complex problems
- High adaptability in a fast-paced growth environment
- CFA qualification preferred
- Fluency in English; German language beneficial
- Self-starter with accountability and reliability
- Ability to work independently and in a team
