Commercial Finance Director

Job Summary
Partner with Sales, Business Development, and Product Management to shape growth strategies across key markets, channels, and customers. Lead forecasting processes for volume, revenue, and price realization while aligning commercial plans with production capacity and supply chain constraints. Drive pricing strategy, including price increases and surcharges, and analyze gross margin by product, customer, and channel to identify leakage drivers. Conduct profitability analysis at the account and SKU level, supporting bid pricing, contract negotiations, and large deal evaluations. Build models for capital investments, make vs. buy decisions, and scenario analysis regarding commodity volatility or supply disruptions. Deliver insights on key commercial KPIs, including revenue trends, sales mix, and contribution margins, acting as the bridge between commercial and operational finance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 10–15+ years of FP&A or finance experience
- strong exposure to manufacturing or industrial environments
- Proven experience supporting Sales or Commercial functions
- Experience with complex cost structures, standard costing, and margin analysis
- Deep understanding of manufacturing financial drivers (volume, cost absorption, utilization, yield)
- Strong pricing and profitability analysis capabilities
- Advanced financial modeling and forecasting skills
- Ability to influence cross-functional senior leaders
- Experience with ERP and planning tools
- Strong communication and executive presentation skills
