Commercial Finance Business Analyst

As a Commercial Finance Business Analyst at Deloitte NZ, you will join the national Finance team in the Auckland office to deliver high-quality financial insights that support strategic decisions for client-facing projects. You will partner with leaders across the Technology & Transformation unit to shape project planning, budgeting, forecasting, modelling, and reporting, ensuring accurate financial control and timely updates. Responsibilities include supporting management accounts preparation and reporting, maintaining modelled commercial constructs for client projects, conducting billing reconciliations and revenue recognition in line with policies, establishing and tracking KPIs, implementing process improvements in project accounting, preparing executive updates for leaders, and performing monthly account reviews with a focus on large engagements. You will also assist with yearly planning and quarterly forecasting, manage client invoices and expose any financial risks, and contribute to ongoing personal development and certification efforts. A relevant Finance, Accounting, or Economics degree, strong Excel skills, ERP experience (SAP, TM1, PowerBI), and effective communication are essential; the role offers flexible work arrangements and opportunities for professional qualifications and growth within Deloitte NZ.
