Job Summary
Estimator in the Commercial department to translate customer specifications and drawings into bills of material and cost estimates; analyze project plans and documents to assess scope and risk; conduct material take-offs and analyze vendor/subcontractor quotes; maintain estimating databases and software; participate in project meetings and documentation organization; collaborate with preconstruction and project management to identify efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities; requires a two-year degree in Mechanical or CAD Drafting (or equivalent construction experience) and growing estimating experience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a two-year degree in Mechanical or CAD Drafting, or equivalent commercial construction experience
- Preferred: At least one year of estimating experience
- Basic understanding or willingness to learn about commercial mechanical systems, equipment, and techniques
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and a willingness to learn estimating software
- Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines consistently
