Job Summary
Commercial Electrician in the Kansas City Metro area needed with 5+ years of commercial electrical experience to install, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial electrical systems on construction, tenant finish, remodel, and service projects. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings; install conduit, wire, panels, lighting, devices, and electrical equipment; perform rough-in and finish work; troubleshoot issues; ensure NEC codes and local regulations compliance; coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades; mentor apprentices; operate power tools and jobsite equipment safely. Schedule: Monday–Friday with typical start between 6:00 AM – 7:00 AM. Benefits include 401(k), medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for advancement.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of commercial electrical experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems and NEC code
- Experience with conduit bending and installation
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in varying job-site conditions
- OSHA 10 certification preferred
- Journeyman license preferred but not required
- Experience with tenant finish, remodel, service, or new construction projects preferred
