Job Summary
Sales/Estimator for commercial drywall construction. Responsibilities include communicating effectively within a team; developing and delivering presentations; developing and presenting building estimates and feasibility studies; reading schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals; maintaining knowledge of building components and life-cycle values; gathering data, compiling information, and preparing reports; providing technical guidance to architects, structural engineers, and independent building contractors; understanding federal, state, and local building codes; negotiating and managing contractual arrangements; making complex operating, administrative, and procedural decisions; budgeting and cost estimating; and ensuring procurement compliance. Emphasis on customer service, relationship-building for repeat business, and proficiency with estimating software (Quick Bid/On-Screen Takeoff). Required Qualifications
- Commercial drywall construction background
- Strong communication skills (in-person, verbal, written)
- Ability to multi-task with strong work ethic

- Instruct drywall and ceiling industry labor, materials and methods
- Detail-oriented with high attention to accuracy
- Proficient with estimating software: Quick Bid/On-Screen Takeoff
- Ability to build relationships with customers for repeat business
- Knowledge of procurement rules and regulations
- Ability to assess contract compliance and product/service quality
- Knowledge of budgeting, cost estimating, and fiscal management principles and procedures
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local building codes, ordinances, and regulations
- Ability to negotiate and manage contractual arrangements
- Ability to make complex operating, administrative, and procedural decisions
- Proficiency with data gathering, reporting, and presenting building estimates/feasibility studies
- Read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Ability to supervise/advise architects and structural engineers
