Job Summary
Develop and deliver accurate cost estimates for commercial drywall projects based on plans, specifications, and project objectives. Research and analyze materials, labor, and time requirements to create competitive bids, while partnering with project managers to refine scopes of work. Foster strong relationships with clients, general contractors, and vendors through proactive communication and follow-up. Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and industry events to stay informed within the sector. Requires 2+ years of experience in construction estimating and proficiency with software like Procore or On-screen Takeoff.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in construction estimating within the drywall industry (or other relevant commercial construction experience)
- Strong knowledge of construction plans, specs, and estimating software (e.g., Procore, On-screen Takeoff, QuickBid)
- Exceptional communication skills and a personable, customer-focused approach
- Detail-oriented with a knack for balancing precision with a sense of urgency
- Proactive problem solver who enjoys a fast-paced environment and thrives under deadlines
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
