Job Summary
Commercial Driver role handling heavy‐duty trucks with front/side/rear-load configurations across multiple lines of business. Drivers transport waste or recyclables to disposal/transfer facilities, perform precise backing maneuvers in residential or industrial settings, and navigate high-traffic environments. Roles include front-line Residential, Roll-off, and Commercial drivers with responsibilities from pre/post-trip inspections to reporting incidents, communicating with Dispatch, and maintaining route efficiency. Requires CDL with an air-brake endorsement, 1+ year driving experience, and completion of pre-employment screening; benefits start Day 1, with tuition assistance and opportunities for career progression. All duties must comply with WM safety rules, OSHA, and DOT requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or 1 year equivalent military driving within the last 7 years
- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located
- Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public, understand traffic signs, respond to official questions, and complete records or reports
- Successfully complete pre-employment screening, including drug screen and physical
- Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A with an air-brake endorsement or Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class B with an air-brake endorsement
- High School Diploma or GED (accredited)
