Job Summary
Deliver fuel to customer locations using a straight truck while maintaining DOT and Corporate compliance records. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, perform basic preventive maintenance, and submit daily vehicle inspection reports. Manage shipping documentation, including bills of laden and weight tickets, ensuring signed proof of delivery is turned into dispatch daily. Report all accidents, incidents, delays, or irregularities immediately to the Supervisor. Maintain accurate driver logs, fuel purchase records, and mileage documentation required by State and Federal regulations.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year experience as a commercial driver
- Class A or B CDL
- Hazmat endorsement
- Tanker endorsement
- current DOT physical examination card
- clean DMV record
- Ability to travel outside of the local area when responding to an emergency event
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondences
- Ability to complete simple calculations using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Ability to graph hours of service driving logs both manually and electronically
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
