Job Summary
Operate a heavy-duty truck on container delivery, recycling, residential, commercial, or industrial routes while complying with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections using the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report, reporting deficiencies to Route Supervisors or Maintenance before and after each route day. Completely dump containers, clean customer locations, and properly position waste barrels, ensuring adherence to safety standards and environmental protocols at the Material Recovery Facility. Maintain a clean and safe vehicle, wear required PPE, and communicate customer requests or incidents to Dispatch immediately. Follow route assignments, complete end-of-route documentation, and participate in scheduled training and safety briefings. Works outside in various weather conditions, lifting up to 75 lb frequently, with a competitive hourly wage and comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Class A or B Driver's License
- 1 year of experience operating a commercial vehicle
- Able to meet all DOT requirements
- Able to provide exceptional customer service always
- Time management skills
- Able to follow through multiple challenges as they arise
- Ability to perform all physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
Desired Qualifications
- Age 21 and over
- Bilingual English / Spanish
- 3+ years of experience operating a commercial vehicle
- Work experience in the waste, environmental services, energy, or transportation industry
- Clean Driving Record
