Job Summary
Install commercial hollow metal, wood, fire-rated, and specialty doors and frames while mounting hardware such as hinges, closers, panic devices, locks, thresholds, and weather stripping. Read blueprints and shop drawings to ensure installations meet building codes and customer specifications, then perform adjustments and troubleshoot issues using hand tools, power tools, lasers, and measuring equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while traveling to local job sites. Ability to lift 75+ pounds, climb ladders, and work independently is required.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience installing commercial doors, frames, and hardware
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Experience using power tools and hand tools
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds
- Ability to climb ladders and work in various indoor construction environments
- Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Must pass a drug screen and background check
