Job Summary
Join our team as a Commercial Dock & Door Technician responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial and industrial dock equipment and overhead door systems. Ideal candidates will possess 3–5+ years' experience, strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, and the ability to perform preventative maintenance and emergency service on various systems. You should be able to read blueprints, interpret technical manuals, and have a valid driver's license. Responsibilities include performing diagnostic evaluations, maintaining company tools and vehicles, providing exceptional customer service, and adhering to safety protocols and OSHA standards.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years' experience working as a commercial dock and door technician (or similar mechanical/industrial role)
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Experience installing and servicing major brands
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs, work at heights, and handle physically demanding tasks
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Desired Qualifications
- Certifications such as IDEA, OSHA 10/30, Welding, or manufacturer-specific technical training
- Experience with low-voltage wiring and control systems
- Strong communication and customer service skills
