Job Summary
Troubleshoot, service, inspect, install, and repair industrial equipment including doors, loading docks, and dock-levelers at commercial sites. Maintain work orders on paper and digitally while operating a vehicle to visit different customer locations. Perform hands-on customer care with a focus on safety and OSHA compliance, working independently for hours each day. Adapt to a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays, with overtime opportunities available.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of relevant experience
- Ability to repair industrial facilities, including doors, loading docks, and dock-leveler's
- Ability or a desire to learn welding, steel fabrication, and electrical
- Hydraulic and Pneumatics experience
- Ability to take direction and work independently while on the road for hours each day
- Strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills
- The ability to think through complex situations critically
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, with nights, weekends, and Holidays
- A clean driving record
- A valid Driver's License for the state of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Technical school training
- OEM certifications
- Experience working in any related field
- An understanding of mechanics
- The ability to fix a variety of products
- Knowledge of the basic concepts of electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting
