Job Summary

Commercial Dock & Door Sales role focused on building a book of business by identifying, calling, visiting, and following up with prospective accounts; responsibilities include winning new customers, estimating, coordinating and overseeing projects from start to finish, assisting in pricing and bid preparation, collaborating with internal teams to complete projects on time and within budget, managing schedules, documentation, and permits, tracking change orders, and contributing to team goals. Requires mechanical aptitude, strong communication and negotiation skills, ability to read drawings, and a self-motivated, persistent, independent work style to grow a sales territory. Experience is not required, but a minimum of 2 years in sales is preferred; tech proficiency with MS Office and estimating/project software is desired.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience
  • Commercial or overhead door industry experience strongly preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude — comfortable learning products, systems, and installation basics
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-starter with persistence, drive, and ability to work independently
  • Ability to read drawings/blueprints and understand basic measurements
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Tech-savvy with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn estimating/project software
