Job Summary
Commercial Director Germany (Hybrid) to own and scale Optiml’s German market from Frankfurt, Munich, and Berlin. Senior, hands-on enterprise role: originate and close complex enterprise software deals typically €50–500k ACV over 1–3 year terms, build and manage a sustainable pipeline, and drive long-term expansion with Delivery and Customer Success. Lead market ownership, establish lighthouse accounts, shape GTM and product feedback, and evolve from senior IC to team leadership as the market grows. Requires 10+ years total experience (including 3–5+ years in institutional real estate), proven enterprise software-sales expertise, the ability to engage CFOs and Investment Committees, travel 25–50%, and fluency in German and English. EU/German work permit required; remote-first setup with hybrid work in Germany.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years total professional experience
- 3–5+ years in institutional real estate
- Proven ability to own and build enterprise pipeline end-to-end and to close complex, consultative enterprise software deals
- Enterprise software sales experience (quota-carrying preferred)
- Strong understanding of institutional real estate decision processes (fund & asset management, Capex, LP–GP)
- Track record selling into senior stakeholders (C-level / N-1) and navigating multi-stakeholder/procurement processes
- Hunter–builder mindset with multi-year customer relationships (1–3 years)
- Willingness to travel 25–50%
- Fluent in German and English
- EU/German work permit
